Supported and Semi-Independent Living Adult Programs
Supported Living / Semi-Independent Living Programs – Avalon offers a number of Supported and Semi-Independent Living Program options for youth and adults (QAM compliant). Homes are located in the Guelph and Erin Township areas; however, individualized programs can be offered in other locations as the need arises. The following options are available:
Complex Needs Residential / Individual Programs: Avalon is able to accommodate adults that require a program that is “built around them and their unique needs”. We have various sites that can be utilized to develop individualized programs for adults, including those who have complex needs. Residential locations, treatment supports, adult mentoring, and staff supports are provided to these clients, based on their individual needs.
Supported Living Homes: Avalon currently has homes in the Guelph and Erin (rural) areas. Homes may be “staffed” or may utilize a “house parent” model depending on the needs of the adult.
Semi-Independent Living Homes: Avalon has a number of residents living on their own (with various amounts of support) in the Guelph area. Mentoring and staff support are provided to these young adults, based on their individual needs.
